STORYTELLING CENTRE EVENTS
Tues 13 March, 2pm Songs, music & poems at the Storytelling Centre
Sat 17 March, 6.30pm and 9pm (Two performances) CEILIDH
A play by Theatre Gu Leòr £10, £8 Conc.
Poet Màiri Ruadh is back from the grave determined to resurrect the true
meaning of the ceilidh in this new play with subtitles, live music and songs.
The play is set in Scotland and is in Gaelic, so although not Irish, it is firmly
placed as a very Gaelic piece of theatre and storytelling. It will include live
music and singing, it will take place in a cèilidh type/cabaret set up, with the
audience seated at tables and chairs and the action happening in and around
the audience -
familiar to both Irish and Scottish audiences with lots of songs and craic.
